Bob Gjika is a legendary amp designer and builder.  He designed and built a 100 watt, stereo single ended amp that was the unmistakable sound of Shawn Lane’s tone of the “Power of 10” CD.  Bob’s amp designs are harmonically rich sounding and super touch sensitive.  We at Retro Channel are lucky enough to own one of the 10 single ended Lane amps built.  The amp sounds incredible, but unfortunately weighs in at around 95 pounds.

In chasing that elusive tone Bob and Retro Channel have worked together to design an incredible new product.  We are offering a Gjika designed, 2-rack space, single ended, class A amp with active speaker load.

What does this mean?  It means that you can have the huge tone that the 95lb Gjika amp produced in a 18lb  package that you could use to feed your effects and a Retro Channel stereo power amp.  This rig will provide you with the tone and feel of the big single ended rig at a fraction of the weight without sacrificing a bit of that magical sound and feel.

The amp has a full compliment of tone controls, Bass, Mid, and Treble, along with a boost switch, and a Master volume.  There is also a toggle switch marked “sustain”.  This switch increased the overall gain while lowering the output of the unit so that you may also use it in front of a clean amp of your choice as the Worlds most advanced tube gain pedal.
